The origins of the name date back to the Middle Ages. The story claims that the Seigneur de Rully divided up his lands and gave his youngest daughter his very best plot. "La Pucelle" comes from the Latin adjective "Pulcella", which can be translated as "Pretty, beautiful, charming"
